Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom: Hal Robson-Kanu hits late winner for Baggies

Substitute Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed a late winner to keep West Brom on top of the Championship.
The Baggies win on Teesside because 2009 was secured eight minutes from time when Boro appeared on track to maintain a point in their bid to climb away from relegation trouble.
Both teams had their opportunities in the two halves but thered been no way through since the Baggies discovered it hard from a team with falling into the fall zone, threatened.
Difficulties were triggered by Middlesbrough despite winning only twice in 12 games under head coach Jonathan Woodgate.
Had to make one change for their team due to a knock sustained to Matt Phillips.
The man who replaced him must have opened the inside eight minutes if he was picked out by Grady Diangana. However, Boros Ryan Shotton was alert to block.
West Broms Matheus Pereira was lively down the flank but once he rounded Shotton Jake Livermore wastefully wide.
Boro keeper Darren Randolph did not have a lot to do so counterpart Sam Johnstone throughout that opening stage.
Johnstone needed to be alert to maintain an effort from Britt Assombalonga, although he also did well to scamper over and suggestion Paddy McNairs curling over effort from 20 yards.
There was another fine save about the stroke of half-time from Assombalonga. George Saville led the rally towards goal and just because it appeared it could drop underneath the bar Kyle Bartley was there to rush over.
Pereira tried an acrobatic kick from Diangana pass in the second half which was gathered by Randolph, and that was followed by Marvin Johnson shaving on the side-netting in the end.
Johnson sparked into life. His conduct led a counter-attack that finished with Johnstone needing to become attentive although the West Brom goalkeeper made a halt with his feet just seconds later from Saville effort to block a driveway from Howson.
Johnson had to be alert in the other end when he made a fantastic sliding tackle to prevent replacement Kyle Edwards out of obtaining a shot at goal from the playground after he had been played behind.
When West Brom pushed for a winner, Boro almost took the lead . Ashley Fletcher side footed an effort over the bar from inside six yards following Johnstone had got down to turn Savilles effort off away.
But moments after tutors Julian Dicks and Leo Percovich were carded for perusing the touchline, West Brom did locate that the aim.
Randolph did his very best to stop Edwards campaign from the run of Diangana and cross, as Welsh Kanu was to bundle a finish on the line to claim the 39,, but it was not sufficient.
