Sunday Night Football: Totals Pick & Predictions

The 9-1 San Francisco 49ers sponsor the 8-2 Green Bay Packers (8:20 P.M ET/NBC) in a game which may have big-time playoff ramifications. These will be the two best of the three best teams in the NFC and this may be a preview of the NFC championship match. The Packers are coming from a loaf and will look after playing a few of the season in a Week 9 loss to the Chargers to get a win at California.
The concerning matter in this game is the simple fact that the 49ers play a very similar defensive design to the Chargers but with greater staff . Another area of concern for the Packers would be their conduct defense. It has not looked and you may expect a heavy dose of the running game out of head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The relationship between both head coaches cant be understated. In other words they know each other would be an understatement. When Kyle Shanahan was trying to find his father he persuaded his dad to hire Matt Lafleur as a QB coach. From 2008 to 2016, LaFleur and Shanahan worked closely except for a single season during that interval. They are very close friends who have a bunch of respect for each other.
The relations between the 2 teams run much deeper. After Shanahan was the coordinator to the Browns in 2014, Packers current defensive coordinator Mike Pettine had been the head coach there. Adam Stevanich was Shanahans assistant offensive line coach for two seasons before joining the Packers. Matt LaFleurs brother works as the passing game coordinator of Kyle Shanahan right now for the 49ers. It is reasonable to say these training staffs understand each other inside out.
This line started with the Complete in 46 at 49ers -3. The spread has not transferred while the action over the Over has witnessed the Total move up to 47.5. This market move is reasonable as both groups will be able to move the ball against one another within this time matchup. Both teams familiarity makes for an intriguing chess game.
I had been awaiting the spread to around -3.5 because I might be considering carrying things with the Packers. Then that got me thinking about what the last score might be and I just feel like that one will be the classic 27-23 or possibly a 28-24. According to thinking got me and has me over here. I think they do sufficient both to enter the mid to high 20s although I really dont think either group gets to the 30s.
On top I said before, the Packers got their butts kicked at the previous time they traveled into Californias country. Not only is Rodgers a Cali child, but hes especially from Northern California, only two hours north of San Francisco. In what is basically a homecoming of sorts for him he will not wish to play. I would predict an old fashioned shootout here if it wasnt for the fact that both trainers highlight establishing the jog. Instead, I think we get a close back and forth match between the two best teams from the NFC. I lean More than 47.5 inside this spot.
My Pick: Over 47.5 (-107) in 5Dimes
